Adobe premiere pro is the master software in video editing with more features.But errors and faults occurs many time while editing or rendering.i had encountered a file format not supported error recently and found out a fix for it.
Follow my steps to fix this problems
1,Download full version of Adobe Premiere Pro (You should have a full version of premiere pro to fix the problem, avoid trail version or demo version)
2,After installing Adobe Premiere proceed to activation process.
3,Enter serial key and activate adobe premiere pro.
4,After activating try to import clips, the clips will be copied as usual amd the problem is solved.
5,If you have the demo version try to register it to the full version then your problem will be fixed.You can find the serial codes with just a google search.
This error is encountered because in trial version of adobe premiere you can't add some clips in the format of mp4,mpg,mov,mpeg etc.. So activating the software unlocks this features.
